Management Team
CNS' management team consists
of subject-matter leaders who provide a
full range of expertise and experience in
the areas of medical and clinical science,
clinical treatment, executive management,
and public policy/service delivery.
John
Docherty, MD, President, Chief
Executive Officer
Dr. Docherty has
served as President and Chief
Executive Officer of CNS since its inception. He
is a world-renowned Psychiatrist
with over 25 years of experience
in the behavioral healthcare
field with a unique blend of
clinical management and neuropsychiatric/CNS
research experience. He has
held senior leadership positions
with academic institutions,
hospitals, and government agencies
including Chief Medical Officer
for Merit Behavioral Care Corporation;
National Medical Director for
National Medical Enterprises;
Founder and CEO of Northeast
Psychiatric Associates; Professor
of Psychiatry and Chief Administrative
Officer at the Cornell University
Medical College; and Chief of
the Psychosocial Treatments
Research Branch of the National
Institute of Mental Health.
Dr. Docherty continues to remain
actively involved in clinical
research as Principal Investigator
for current studies in CNS Clinical
Trials.
Dr. Docherty has
achieved international recognition
for his clinical research experience
and expertise. He has authored
over 100 scientific publications
and has had extensive personal
experience in the design and
conduct of clinical trials with
central nervous system pharmaceuticals.
He has held academic appointments
at Yale, Harvard, Tufts, the
Uniformed Services University
of the Health Sciences, and
Cornell, along with visiting
professorships at the University
of Oslo, and the University
of Hawaii. Dr. Docherty has
received numerous honors and
awards, including the Merck
Recognition Award for Advances
in Medical Quality Management,
Psychiatric Institute of America's
Medical Director Leadership
Award, National Association
of Private Psychiatric Hospital
Systems' Presidential Award
for Research, the Seymour Lustman
Award for Psychiatric Research,
and the Hamilton Watch Award
for Interdisciplinary Study.
He is a fellow of the American
College of Psychiatrists, and
of the American Psychiatric

Daniel
Carpenter, PhD, Senior Vice
President, Chief Information
Officer
Dan has served as the Chief Information Officer at Comprehensive NeuroScience since its inception. He brings a broad range of technical and clinical skills including computer programming, database management, and formal training and licensure as a Clinical Psychologist. Dan was a member of the faculty at the Cornell University Medical College Department of Psychiatry where he handled the data management and analysis for studies involving the delivery of psychiatric care. He then served as the Director of Clinical Data Systems for Merit Behavioral Care Corporation where he reported to the Chief Medical Officer and implemented several data-driven research and development and quality improvement initiatives. He left Merit in 1998 with John Docherty to help found Comprehensive NeuroScience, Inc. Dan a co-author of the Expert Consensus Method for quantifying expert opinion as the basis for practice guidelines and of several articles applying that method to various psychiatric conditions. He directs the Information Technology Operations and Business Technologies Groups. |

Regina Reale,
Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning
and Corporate Development
As Vice President, Strategic
Development, Ms. Reale is responsible
for corporate development activities
in support of both acquisitive and
organic growth for Comprehensive NeuroScience,
Inc. She oversees mergers and acquisitions,
supports new product development,
and implements operating procedures
to maximize revenue and profitability
for the company. Ms. Reale was formerly
a Vice President at GE Equity, a multi-billion
dollar division of General Electric's
GE Capital division, created to invest
directly in growth-oriented private
companies across all sectors of the
economy. She evaluated and recommended
companies for investment by GE, managed
transactions, and provided ongoing
strategic and operational advice.
Prior to GE, Ms. Reale was an Associate
at Lazard Freres Asset Management
in New York. Ms. Reale holds an M.B.A.
from Columbia Business School and
a B.S. in Accounting from St. Johns
University. |

Joseph
M. Milano, Senior Vice President
and Chief Financial Officer
Joe joined CNS
in January 2007 and brings 30
years of diversified financial
management experience to the
company. His career has spanned
large corporate environments,
middle market companies and
start-up enterprises. In his
two most recent positions, he
has served as the CFO of two
medical device manufacturers.
EBI, a bone growth stimulation
and fracture fixation division
of Biomet and Aircast, a privately
owned manufacturer of fracture
fixation braces. While at Aircast,
he was instrumental in the sale
of the company to a strategic
buyer. Prior to Aircast, Joe
was the CFO for American Color
Graphics, a national commercial
printer. While there, he engineered
several large capital refinancing
efforts. Prior to joining American
Color Graphics, he was the CFO
of Farrel Corporation, a manufacturer
of capital equipment utilized
in the plastics and rubber industries.
During his tenure at Farrel,
he led the company’s efforts
in a successful IPO. He started
his career at American Can Corporation
and holds an M.B.A. in Finance
from Columbia University and
a B.S. in Accounting from St.
John’s University. |

Alicia (“Ali”) Craig-Rodriguez, RN, MBA, Senior Vice President, Clinical Operations
As Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations, Ali is responsible for maximizing the growth and profitability of the Clinical Development Division of CNS. Ali leads a dynamic team of experienced Business Development, Operations and Finance professionals, all of whom have played an important role in the company’s success over the past five years. Ali has over 25 years of management experience, including 15 years in the health care field and over 10 years in clinical trials management. Over the past ten years, Ali has held key positions within the company, all of which supported strategic growth initiatives and contributed significantly the company’s organic growth and profitability. Ali holds a Bachelor of Arts in English/ Communication from the University of South Florida, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Florida and a Master’s In Business Administration from the University Of South Florida College Of Business, with a concentration in Finance and Marketing.
